The Great Chili Cook-Off FAQ’s

What time do the gates open?

Gates open at 4:00PM for admission to the event. Vendors and Cookers may enter at 10 AM and must be set up and have load-in vehicles off the field by 3:00PM. If you choose to leave and return, you must get your hand stamped for re-entry.

How much are tickets?

Tickets are $10 for adults. Children 9 and under are FREE. Paid admission includes all of the chili tastings, entertainment and Kids Zone. Unfortunately FREE admission does not include chili tastings but if your little one loves chili maybe you can share your samples with them, or you can buy them a ticket and they can vote for their favorite chili too.

How Do I get tickets?

Tickets may be purchased when you arrive or obtained in advance by calling Michael Gander at 704-658-8130, contacting a member of The Rotary Clubs of Mooresville, Mooresville-Lake Norman, Top of the Lake, and Troutman or visiting the “Contact & Directions” page.

Are chili samples included in the price of a ticket?

YES!* Our talented chili teams will be providing free samples of their chili until they run out – so come early!!! And be sure to save your ticket stub and use it to vote for YOUR favorite chili – the People’s Choice Award.
*NOTE: chili may be gone before the event comes to an end.

What are acceptable forms of payment for tickets and food/beverages?

Cash only. ATM Machines are available at local banks.

Are pets allowed at the event?

Sorry, pets are not allowed other than service pets). It’s just not safe for pets as well as people.
As an attendee, what can I bring into the event site?
Please bring proper identification for purchase of alcoholic beverages. No coolers or outside food or beverages are allowed. Any suspicious items are subject to search.
